What began as a heartfelt calling for one faithful couple—Hoyt and Lois Osborne—has grown into a Spirit-led movement of faith, hope, and impact across Kenya. Today, Kenya Evangelical Mission continues to carry the torch, empowering communities through the love of Christ and the truth of His Word.
Through every prayer, every lesson, and every act of service, we remain committed to the mission that started it all: to share the Gospel, disciple believers, and uplift lives.
Honoring a Life of Purpose – Hoyt Osborne
Hoyt Osborne was not just a founder—he was a man of vision, humility, and unwavering faith. In 1988, he and his wife Lois followed God’s call to Kenya, not with grand plans, but with willing hearts and a Bible in hand.
What began as a single step of obedience became a lifelong mission. Through prayer, perseverance, and love for the people, Hoyt helped plant churches, build schools, and raise leaders who continue to share the Gospel across Kenya.
Though Hoyt has gone to be with the Lord, his legacy is alive:
In every church that lifts the name of Jesus
In every child learning in a Christian school
In every soul saved through the ministry he helped start
He believed that ministry was not about numbers, but about people—one heart at a time.

Our mission began with churches—and they remain at the heart of everything we do. With over 30 churches and fellowships across Kenya, these houses of worship are more than buildings; they’re spiritual homes where communities gather, grow, and encounter God.
We believe education shapes both the mind and the soul. Our schools provide academic excellence rooted in Christian values, giving children the tools to succeed in life—and in faith.
The future of the Church depends on prepared leaders. Our Bible colleges equip pastors, evangelists, and church leaders with the knowledge, tools, and spiritual depth needed to shepherd others.
